If you’ve been looking into electric cars lately, you probably already know all the benefits: Clean, quiet, fun to drive, happy polar bears, flipping the bird to the greedy oil companies. On the other hand, buying a new electric car (or converting your gas-guzzler) is a big money investment, and it’s also a big leap into the unknown. After all, how do you know whether you’ll be happy with an electric car in real life, or whether it will just turn out to be the world’s most expensive lawn ornament?
